Tom Dickerson

Treasurer (United States) Partner in Venture Capital Funds for the Healthcare Industry; UWC Atlantic College graduate; former Board Chair UWC USA
Tom Dickerson began his career in 1974 as a corporate attorney with Coudert Brothers, a New York law firm. In 1981, he became a healthcare investment banker, first at Lehman Brothers from 1980 to 1985, and then at E.F. Hutton was named co-head of the healthcare investment banking group in 1986. In 1988, he joined Tullis-Dickerson & Co., Inc., a Connecticut – based health care venture capital firm, and from 1990 until 2009 served as chairman. The firm managed in excess of $350 million, investing in over 50 portfolio companies in all sectors of the healthcare industry. He is currently a co-founder and director of two companies, Real-Time Medical Systems, and Five Star Physician Services, which serve the nursing home sector.

Tom earned his B.A. from Harvard College in 1971, his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1974, and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1979.
