Leila Mata Alvarez is the Residential Life Director at United World College Costa Rica. She is a Costa Rican native, who trained as a psychologist and began at the College as a Residence Coordinator and school psychologist. Leila lives on campus with her husband and two children. As her family has grown she feels privileged to have raised them within this great community. Throughout her time with the College, she has grown and loves the chance to continue learning each year. Her position has developed to become the Director of the Residential Life program and she is currently finishing her Master's program in Education and Human Development Psychology.
