The last four weeks of December Break brought our community (staff and students alike) together to support each other in a safe and fun way.
During all December and the first week of January, more than five staff members have been on duty daily, so we make sure students count with adults for any necessity they might have. Each student who remained on-campus had the chance to go on a spectacular hike with waterfalls in Cartago, learned the history of our capital, San José, a private guided tour, and swimming in the Pacific Ocean in Puntarenas, and enjoyed a private pool under a sunny sky in Alajuela. While on campus, staff (from all departments) organized a water balloon fight, a traditional Costa Rican turno, board game nights, arts and craft sessions, a formal Christmas and New Years dinner, a Christmas Day BBQ, movie nights, bonfires, dance parties, visits to our new property in San Isidro, a visit to a coffee farm, a few walks around Santa Ana, and shopping outings. We did all this, following the safety protocols and having fun. I hope our students had a chance to rest, have fun, and work (when needed). Thank you all for your hard work! Keep following our social media outlets, where we will continue sharing photos of all these experiences.
