UWC Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize

Did you hear this exciting news?! 🥇 💥 ⚡UWC has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by Alfred Bjørlo! Although we have a long way to go until the winner is announced, we are proud to be recognized for our work in promoting peace through education since 1962.
On February 6, Norwegian media shared that UWC has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize! These are fantastic news and a remarkable recognition for the movement and UWC Costa Rica. As essential members of this community, everyone knows how much work is put into creating a positive impact in our everyday actions. This nomination is proof of how vital and needed this effort is.

Even though we have to wait to know the results, just to be nominated shows the relevance of UWC's mission to use education as a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a more sustainable future for the world. Read here the message from the International Office.

Let's continue building the society we consider fair, creating as much impact as possible with a positive purpose, and believing in ourselves as change agents. Muchas gracias for everything you do, this recognition, and your presence remind us why the College started 15 years ago.
