Outreach & Innovation

    • Programs I Outreach I Banner

We continued to foster relationships with our existing partners to secure their involvement with our community so that, when we can safely do so, new and exciting educational programs can take place.

We aim to scale the impact of our mission by offering educational experiences to thousands of young people every year, with a special focus on accessibility for local youth. Outreach &Innovation also contribute to the financial sustainability of the school, being an important stream of revenue, especially through facility rentals. We are ready to join the leaders of the educational revolution in Latin America.  This new vision will support UWC Costa Rica becoming a home, a heart, and a hub for this community of innovators, youth and educators, that are changing the world.

Have you ever wondered what is our role in keeping the balance between the human-made world and the wild? We have!

Let's explore all the possible answers together.

Come live sustainability. We invite you to a joint exploration to discover through personal experience how sustainability is related to absolutely everything we do, and how you can apply it to your everyday life.

But it’s not all about the environment and ecology…. Oh, no!
When we say sustainability we mean, Sustainability 360º:  wellness, culture, gender, technology, community, governance, energy, waste, politics, spirituality, food, and every other aspect of life (putting nature at the center.)

Why sustainability?  This question has 3 answers.
  • Sustainability is one of the pillars of the UWC Mission
  • There is no planet B, and learning how to regenerate this one is key for our future.
  •  The school is building a new campus in San Isidro de Heredia, at the skirts of Braulio Carillo National Park. We are working hard to make this new campus a flagship of sustainability, for us to live and learn, while we protect, care, and regenerate 32 hectares of woodland.
