Residences
The campus has 8 residences with capacity of 24 persons per residence hall. Each residence hall includes: 8 rooms, 2 bathrooms, common  area and fully equipped kitchen per residence hall. Up to 205 total guests.

Classrooms

538 square feet, 25 person capacity.




All-Year Around

A Social Center
1722 square feet with a capacity to host 125 persons and available year-round. 

Library / Meeting Hall
2195 square feet, includes wireless internet, projector and air conditioning. With a capacity to host 150 people. 

Playing Fields

Basketball and soccer fields, access to bathrooms with showers.

Amphitheater

Stage is 807 square feet, with sound system and large tent available. The tent has a capacity of 300 people. 

San Isidro

San Isidro Campus Is a learning and innovation center, created to ignite learning everywhere and empower young people, educators and organizations to become positive agents of change in their communities.




All-Year Around

We have one big house at the center of the property that can accommodate 22 people.

7 different and flexible spaces fully equipped and ready to work. Whether you need a desk for the day, or a conference room for your meeting and team, you can book the spaces for half or full day. We got you covered!

Beautiful trails in the woods for exploring and learning deep down the Costa Rican jungle.

Equipped kitchen and food service for up to 70 people per meal.
 

Workshops

We provide a wide range of workshops for youth, educators and professionals which are customizable according to the group. We can take this workshops to you at your convenience, or we can accommodate the event in either of our available spaces.

All courses are offered as Flash course (2 days) and Extended version (10 to 14 days)

 
 

 

Conflict Transformation

This course focuses on both the awareness of language choice that we make on a daily basis as well as the management of our emotions, as tools for conflict transformation.

Let’s Be Proactive with our words!

Communication & Emotional Skills

This module will create a space to explore the development of abilities and knowledge of communication as it relates to social science with special attention paid to capabilities a leader for peace should possess.  

Intercultural Communication

By partaking in this workshop a participant will:
  • Learn to identify different learning styles.
  • Be able to distinguish the learner’s needs, the trainer’s role and behavior and his or her impact on the learning process.
  • Understand how learning styles relate to intercultural communication.
  • Appreciate how making use of varying learning strategies and avenues is invaluable in creating better paths of communication while dealing with  values and communication contrasts across cultures.

Day Program

This day program is perfect for High school Field trips or one day corporate events. Over the day, we will focus on three of the most pressing issues in Costa Rica: rapid loss of biodiversity, the switch to a more sustainable food system, and management of energy and water resources. Students would be expected to have a strong interest in environmental studies, be comfortable working outdoors, and be self motivated.

Sustainability & Interconnection

This project will work with different key concepts related to sustainability as promoted by the UWC Costa Rica. We will generate actions inspired by the Sustainability Principles.

Immersive Residency

The 360° Sustainability Experience Immersive Residency is a 10 day, bilingual program for teenagers aged from 14-17 years old, to be held in UWC Costa Rica Campuses (Santa And and San Isidro). By the end of this program participants will:
  • Be immersed in sensory experience, that makes tangible the interconnectedness of the human reality with the wilderness
  • Reflect about your own personal relationship with nature
  • Awake your sense of stewardship for the natural world, to become an ambassador of sustainability

Agents of Change

This course aims to redefine leadership, enabling participants to see themselves as transformative leaders. Socially aware of the issues that surround them, capable of using their abilities and skills to contribute to a better future.

Entrepreneurship in Costa Rica

In this Experiential Learning Workshop we will be visiting successful small business owners who will share their best practices on how to make a difference and positive impact in communities and costarican families.

This 10 day course will travel around Costa Rica while learning about how can we impact our communities.

Innovation and Social Change

Are you interested in becoming a leader while doing something that’s meaningful to you and to society?

Social entrepreneurship is about more than just business and service projects; it’s about finding a way to make a positive contribution while doing something you’re passionate about! 

This 14-day course will feature instruction from experts on significant social issues and allow participants to acquire skills to build an effective social enterprise. Learn how to make a positive impact while experiencing first-hand successful initiatives for change - all while enjoying Costa Rica!
