Our Mission

The mission of UWC Costa Rica is grounded on the impact our alumni achieve in their communities. Our alumni are educators, doctors, artists, parents, entrepreneurs, politicians, and community leaders. They are idealists empowered and equipped to take action and turn their change-making ideas into reality.

Alumni Services

Transcript and certificate request

At UWC Costa Rica, we can provide you with physical and digital copies of your transcript, grade reports, graduation certificate, or a letter of enrollment.  Just email us at alumnicoordinator@uwccostarica.org
Make sure that you plan ahead as it can take us up to 3 weeks to process your request.  For physical copies, please send us the address you need them to be mailed and keep in mind that you will need to pay for mailing costs.

IB Diploma requests

All services related to your IB Diploma must be requested directly through the IB Organization such as replacing your diploma, requesting its legalization or apostille, or an official IB transcript.  Please visit the IB website at https://www.ibo.org/

Police Certificate and other government certification and documentation

At this moment, UWC Costa Rica is unable to meet requests for help with Police Certificate and other government certifications and documentation processes such as apostilles and Ministry of Education diploma legalization.  To help you get started, we have put together this information guide.

If you ever find yourself visiting Costa Rica, we recommend that you invest a little of your travel time to visit a “contraloria de servicios” or an office for the judicial system of Costa Rica to request your username and password so you can obtain your Police Certificate online.  Just remember to bring both the passport you used when you studied in Costa Rica and your current passport.
